Mario Accolla is a researcher at the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF), Italy
 

Mario works within Laboratory Astrophysics at the Astrophysical Observatory of Catania, Italy. His research has been entirely dedicated to Laboratory Astrophysics. He has investigated various aspects of this field, all connected by laboratory simulations of different cosmic environments and the characterization of cosmic-analogous materials (dust and ices). As a result, he has developed strong expertise in UHV technologies and the following analytical techniques: UV-Vis-NIR, FTIR, micro-IR, Raman, XPS and mass spectrometry.
