Professor Dr. Karina Morgenstern is Chair of Physical Chemistry at the Ruhr University in Bochum, Germany.

Karina Morgenstern's group study the physical and chemical properties of atoms and molecules on metal surfaces. The measurements are carried out using scanning tunnelling microscopy (STM) and other surface-sensitive methods in an ultra-high vacuum, which allows the imaging and manipulation of individual molecules with submolecular resolution.
