I am a PhD student in the research group of Mie Andersen, working on developing and applying machine learning methods for heterogeneous catalysis.
Before joining Aarhus University, I studied chemical engineering at Eindhoven University of Technology, from which I graduated in 2022. I performed my Master's thesis in the group of Emiel Hensen, where I used artificial neural networks to efficiently model a broad range of nanoclusters and, by coupling the networks with a genetic algorithm, optimize these clusters.
During my PhD I will continue in the area of machine learning, applying a range of methods to model the behavior of complex solid catalytic materials and the reaction mechanisms occurring on these materials to build a fundamental understanding at the atomic level.
