I am a Ph.D.-student with a background in physics and mathematics. My work so far has focused on graphene and carbon-based materials. While one might argue there is very little graphene in interstellar space, much of the chemistry is the same for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, which is an important class of molecules, astrochemically speaking.
I have several years of experience in working with UHV and experimental techniques such as scanning tunneling microscopy, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and temperature programmed desorption.
