Bodil Holst is professor in the Nanophysics Group at the Department of Physics and Technology, at the University of Bergen.
Bodil's research interestes include:
i) New nanoscience instrumentation and the development a new microscopy method using neutral helium atoms for imaging.
ii) Smart surfaces: This research focuses on making anti-icing surfaces and underwater self-cleaning surfaces using coating and structuring.
iii) The identification of ancient plant fibre textiles using nano-scale characterisation techniques. This is a collaboration with Hana Lukesova at Bergen University Museum.
