The Aarhus AMS Centre (AARAMS) is a research facility established in 1992 as a radiocarbon laboratory. With our HVE 1MV accelerator we may offer rare isotope analysis on a suite of isotopes including 3H, 10Be, 14C, 26Al, 41Ca, 129I as well as isotopes of actinides (Pu, U). Further we may offer stable isotope analysis (IRMS) on a range of stable isotopes (δ2H, δ13C, δ15N, δ18O, δ34S).
The main focus of AARAMS is on research and analysis of radiocarbon (14C) and stable isotope (δ13C, δ15N) measurements on geological, archaeological, forensic, water and atmospheric samples.
Together with the Department of Geoscience, AU, we further focus on exposure age dating and erosion rate estimations using 10Be and 26Al.
