Our experiments combine laboratory experiments using femtosecond optical lasers with experiments at international user facilities, such as X-ray lasers in the USA, Japan and Korea. 

We are still building up our labs in Aarhus. The high time resolution lab delivers short pulses of light (down to 15 fs) to investigate the fastest processes in solids, which can be cooled to 15 K. A second lab, to study the non-linear optical properties of solids is currently under construction.
