On December 25th the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) was successfully launched with the mission of answering some of our biggest questions. It will reveal many new secrets of the universe, both foreseen and unforeseen.

Professor Ewine van Dishoeck from Leiden University is the Netherland lead scientist and has been involved from the beginning.
