InterCat members Laura Slumstrup, Steffen Holleufer, Alfred Hopkinson, Signe Kyrkjebø and Bjørk Hammer joined Stellar Astrophysics Centre for the Forskningens Døgn (Festival of Research) event at Stakladen 28th April.

Together the two centers captured the interest of the many members of the public, of all ages, visiting their stand "Tid, støv og stjerner" (Time, dust and stars). InterCat explained the connection between star formation and STM, and visitors were invited to simulate STM by the use of cardboard, vacuum chambers and LEGO's. And they were challenged to compete with machine learning algorythms in predicting molecular structures.
