Bimonthly seminars are organized at 14:00 UTC on Wednesdays for 1-1.5 hrs. The organisers invite participation from the astrochemistry community. Click through to learn how to register.
Astrochemistry Discussions is a brand new forum in 2020 that aims to host an online discussion of astrochemical research.
The SOC for the "Astrochemistry Discussions" invite participants to learn more about upcoming seminars by following the link to their mailing list and website.
The online seminar series started as an initiative in response to the many conferences that are either postponed or canceled around the world.
Seminars are organized twice a month at 14:00 UTC on Wednesdays for 1-1.5 hrs, and the meeting alternates between review talks and multiple shorter talks using Zoom as a platform.
The next edition Theoretical Tools For Astrochem Tutorial/Workshop is scheduled at: 8 July 2020, 14:00 UTC (16:00 CEST) with:
Mark Blitz: Using reaction rate theory (MESMER) to provide robust kinetic parameters for astrochemical modelling Johannes Kästner: Simulation of Reactivity on the Surface of Dust Grains: Pitfalls and Opportunities
Registration (free, quick, and required) is now open on the organisers' website.
