Ewine van Dishoeck is Professor of Molecular Astrophysics at University of Leiden and External Scientific Member, Max-Planck Institut für Extraterrestrische Physik in Garching. She heads the observational activities under InterCat.

Her group uses ground- and space-based observatories to study the molecular trail from interstellar clouds to planet-forming disks. She is co-PI of the JWST-MIRI instrument and of major observing projects on ALMA. Observational results from her group will directly inform the experimental and theoretical activities under InterCat. These activities will in turn contribute to guide novel observational projects.
