Graphene synthesis on nanoparticles

The use of nanoparticles have great potential in, for example, solar cell technology and catalysis. However, a drawback in the use of these nanoparticles is a loss of performance over time. Previous studies suggest that coating and protecting the nanoparticles with a layer of graphene might be a solution, as graphene possesses a number of interesting properties. Theory and research on this subject will be presented at the colloquium.
