Title: How AI decides while customers keep control

Abstract:

”Best decisions, delivered daily” – Blue Yonder’s claim promises granular decisions for retailers, optimizing their replenishment processes or pricing, on a granular store-sku-individual level at high temporal frequency. But what is a “good decision” in the first place? How can we judge decisions objectivally, and how does this translate into scalable software architecture? We discuss these questions upon the concrete problem of setting the right price for items with high return rates in online stores.
