Title: Quantum interferometry with molecules and molecular clusters: progress and open challenges
Abstract:
Matter wave interferometry with massive bodies is currently pursued as a tool for exploring hypothetical and/or practical limits of the quantum superposition principle as well as for establishing molecular nano-rulers in vacuo which can be used for new experiments on molecule and cluster metrology.
I will review the progress of far- and near-field interferometry with complex organic molecules as well as some important challenges for future quantum experiments with mesoscopic matter waves.
Coffee and buns served from 10:05.
