Saswat Sarangi

Saswat will be a part of Anne Nielsens group.

He is a theoretical condensed matter physicist with interests in topological quantum matter and localization phenomena. During his Phd, he worked on topological phases in non-periodic systems. Recently, he developed interests to study topological phenomena in non-Hermitian and open systems.

Venkatesh Mottamchetty

Venkatesh will be in Peter Balling’s group on the Villum Experiment grant “Looking for terahertz emission from laser-excited dielectrics: New light on the carrier dynamics”, funded by the Villum Foundation.

Venkatesh did his Ph.D. from the University of Hyderabad, India. He did his Post-Doctoral research at Seoul National University (South Korea) and Uppsala University (Sweden). Venkatesh research interests focus on the generation of intense Terahertz radiation and XUV Wavelengths using various novel materials. He also worked on the investigation of ultrafast transient dynamics and nonlinear optical properties of materials.
