Ny postdoc: Oliver Kirsebom
Oliver Kirsebom will be joining the nuclear physics group at IFA as a postdoctoral researcher on October 1st, where he will be working with Hans Fynbo on long beamtime experiments for nuclear astrophysics. Oliver, already a close acquaintance of IFA, obtained his PhD from Aarhus University in 2010, whereupon he took up a two-year postdoctoral position at TRIUMF, Canada's National Laboratory for Particle and Nuclear Physics, on a grant from the VKR foundation. After three years at TRIUMF, he is now returning to IFA to continue his research on light nuclei with applications for nuclear astrophysics, initially focusing on the alpha-conjugate nuclei 8Be, 12C and 16O.
