Specifically, rare supernovae called stripped-envelope supernovae that are associated with the death throes of some of the most massive stars in the universe. Emir is also interested in applying modern data science and data analysis methods to observational studies of astronomical transients. Emir has completed his graduate studies in Astronomy at Stockholm University, Stockholm, Sweden and his bachelor studies in Astrophysics at Columbia University, New York, USA.
