Abstract:
A quantum memory based on an atomic ensemble can act as a high-performance interface between atom and light in a quantum network and is an important building block of the DLCZ quantum repeater protocol. In this talk, I will introduce our recent works including (1) implementing a 2D array of atomic ensemble quantum memories with 225 cells, (2) generation and verification of experimental entanglement between 25 memory cells, (3) store-in and read-out of several photonic qubits in arbitrary sequences, (4) extending the coherence time of an atomic ensemble quantum memory and telecommunication wavelength conversion in an atomic cloud.
Coffee and cake is offered from 13:00
