Frederik Granzow Doktor

Frederik Doktor is an Assistant Professor at Aarhus University who has been connected to the Center of Excellence for Interstellar Catalysis (InterCat) before joining the IRAstro project. His research focuses on nanoscale characterization of mixed interstellar ices, using low-temperature scanning tunneling microscopy (LT-STM), alongside exploration of catalytic pathways towards small molecule formation in the harsh conditions of the interstellar medium.

Within IRAstro, Frederik will apply LT-STM techniques in connection with superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPDs) to investigate spectral features from single molecules on surfaces, to further understand their dependence on the local physical/chemical environment.
