Andreas will be developing quantum algorithms and applications of quantum technology in the group of Nikolaj Zinner. He will join the IFD-funded Grand Solutions project PhotoQ with collaborators from DTU and the companies MQD, AMCS, NKT Photonics and Kvantify. He has a master’s degree from Aarhus University as well as a Ph.D. from the University of St Andrews and Université du Luxembourg.

During his Ph.D. he has investigated induced superconductivity in the edge of two-dimensional materials exhibiting quantum Hall effect, a phenomenon which has applications within the detection of anyonic quasiparticles and the development of a topological quantum computer.
