Experimental physicist specializing in relativistic heavy-ion physics and the study of the Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP). Associate Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy, Aarhus University, with a strong background in leading international research within the ALICE Collaboration at CERN. Recipient of major competitive grants, including an ERC Starting Grant, Villum Young Investigator, and DFF Sapere Aude grants, recognized globally as a Stanford/Elsevier Top 2% Scientist. Deeply passionate about education and mentoring, with extensive experience lecturing on advanced physics and supervising a large number of Postdocs, PhD, Master, and Bachelor's students.
Quark-Gluon Plasma & Nuclear Structure: Investigating the properties of primordial QGP matter, searching for the tiniest primordial early Universe fluid in small systems, and leading paradigm-shifting research on the precise imaging of atomic nuclei structure at the energy frontier.
International Leadership: Member of the ALICE Physics Board and Convener of the "Correlations & Flow" Physics Working Group (200+ active collaborators) at CERN, coordinating large-scale international analysis efforts.
Major Grants & Funding: Secured prominent funding including the ERC Starting Grant (€1.5M, 2023), Villum Young Investigator Grant (10M kr, 2019), and DFF Sapere Aude grants (5.9M kr, 2018 & 6.2M kr, 2022).
Courses: Lecturer for the Master's level course “New Frontiers of Physics” (MSc Program in Physics) and guest lecturer for the bachelor's-level course “Introduction to Nuclear and Particle Physics”.
