Are you close to finishing your PhD and wondering what to do after that? Are you in the 1st or 2nd year of your PhD and would like to have some hints about how to profit of your PhD in preparation for the future? Are you uncertain about career in academics or industry?

In this after-work meeting Nikolaj Zinner, post-doctoral researcher at Department of Physics and Astronomy, AU, will share his experience as a post-doc in Denmark and abroad, and give hints about how to apply interdisciplinarity and increase the chances to get a post-doctoral position as well as pros and cons of the different roads one may take with emphasis on what to look out for at an early stage in ones career in order to maximize chances of getting a tenured position. Nikolaj is also member of the post-doc association at Science and Technology.

Vibeke Broe, PhD career consultant at AU, will speak about how to prepare for a career in the industry. She is a PhD Career Consultant to all PhD students at AU, offering one-onone talks about career paths, information on career opportunities outside university and individual feedback on CV and cover letter, etc.
