Nicholas Janssen and Emil Knudstrup, our colleagues in situ at the Nordic Optical Telescope on La Palma, were ready when the planets Jupiter and Saturn met on 21 December 2020 only 6 arc minutes apart. With the ALFOSC@NOT instrument both the planets and some of their brightest moons were visible within the same field of vision. Clic on the image to see it in full resolution. Photo: NOT, NJ, EK.
