Probing superfluidity in a 2D Bose gas
I will present our last experimental results about superfluidity of a quasi-2D bose gas. Using a local correlation analysis method to observe the scissors mode, we are able to obtain evidence for the superfluidity in our atomic sample and to locate the normal to superfluid boundary coming from the BKT crossover. I will also detail the next experiments we are planning, aiming to study the superfluid flow in a 2D ring geometry.
