Quantum Optics Seminar - Rodrigo Shiozaki: Thermodynamics of Trapped Gases: new global parameters and global heat capacity analysis
Speaker: Rodrigo Shiozaki is from USP in Sao Carlos, Brazil.
Title: "Thermodynamics of Trapped Gases: new global parameters and global heat capacity analysis"
Abstract: "In this talk I will introduce new global thermodynamics parameters corresponding to volume and pressure for a harmonically trapped Bose gas [1]. For our experimental system I will describe the Bose-Einstein condensation transition in terms of those parameters [2]. And finally I will discuss some preliminary results on the calculation of heat capacity which show a ?-type transition strongly dependent on the number of atoms."
