We are delighted to welcome our new Head of Secretariat, Andreas Sindal Stounbjerg, who has a background in political science and solid experience from both Aarhus University and Aarhus Municipality.

In his most recent position at the Rector's office at Aarhus University, he served as programme lead for AU’s climate initiative for five years. In this capacity, he collaborated across the university to develop initiatives aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions and was responsible for AU’s climate accounts. He also supported the work of the university’s Board.

Prior to that, he worked in the Department of Social Affairs and Employment in Aarhus Municipality, where he was involved in the development of impact measurements.

Outside of work, he lives in Skanderborg with his wife and their two children, aged 3 and 6. Beyond AU’s yellow brick walls, he enjoys spending time in nature, cooking, and growing his own vegetables.

The leadership team at IFA is excited to welcome him on board. With his skills and experience, we are confident he will strengthen both the secretariat and the department as a whole.
