On 1st February 2024, Mahika Luthra will join the Mie Andersen group as a new postdoc.

Mahika earned her PhD from the University of Oslo, where she worked on molecular catalysts for electrochemical reduction of CO2 using static DFT, Ab-initio Molecular Dynamics and microkinetic simulations. Her investigations revealed the roles of metal centers and ligand structures in influencing CO2 reduction reactions. She has also worked with Beta-zeolites using periodic DFT. 

In her new role Mahika will contribute to developing machine learning methods based on graph theory for the computational screening of catalytic materials for the reduction of CO2 into valuable chemicals and fuels.
