New Associate Professor: Simon Wall
Simon Wall has been employed as Associate Professor starting from 1 May.
Simon obtained his Masters and DPhil degrees from the University of Oxford. In 2010 he was awarded an Alexander von Humboldt fellowship and conducted his research in the department of physical chemistry at the Fritz Haber Institute in Berlin. In 2012 Simon took a position as a group leader at ICFO, Barcelona were he obtained a Ramon y Cajal fellowship, and in 2017 Simon was awarded an ERC starting grant. Simon’s work utilizes the entire electromagnetic spectrum, using photons with energies ranging from 3 meV to 14 keV to study the non-equilibrium properties of quantum, materials on nanometer length scales and femtosecond time scales.
Please give Simon a warm welcome!
