Abstract

Citizen science (CS), or participation of the public in scientific research, has a long history. In recent times, one major field of application is observing the environment, such as water quality, biodiversity or air quality. This presentation explores different applications for CS in air quality monitoring. It showcases its opportunities and limitations by drawing on different practical examples. It will also present a method to assess impact and transformative potential of CS activities in schools.

The colloquium is a hybrid event. Sonja Grossberndt will present on Zoom, and there will be opportunity to see the presentation and ask questions in the auditorium. Please inquire about the zoom link with Kristian H. Nielsen.

Coffee, tea, cakes and fruit will be served before the colloquium @ 2 pm
