Title: INTERFACING ULTRA-COLD ATOMS AND SUPERCONDUCTING CHIPS
Abstract:
Interfacing ultra-cold atoms and superconducting circuits may enable novel functionalities involving electronic or magnetic degrees of freedoms of the hybrid quantum system. I report experimental results on the coupling of ultra-cold atoms to a superconducting coplanar microwave cavity. I will discuss prospect for realizing coherent interactions between Rydberg atoms mediated by a superconducting coplanar microwave resonator, thereby achieving long-range interacting quantum spin systems.
