Abstract
The interaction with extreme ultra-violet radiation induces manifold break-up dynamics in molecular systems. These can be investigated in detail by imaging the momenta of the individual products of a single reaction in coincidence with a reaction microscope. Three recently performed experiments will be presented:
- Electron localization involving doubly-excited states in dissociative photo-ionization of hydrogen
- Dynamics of inner-shell ionized iodine molecules
- Ultrafast hydrogen migration in acetylene
The latter two experiments were time-sensitive pump-probe studies performed at the free-electron laser in Hamburg (FLASH).
Coffee, tee and breadrolls will be served at 10.
