Subatomic Physics

Welcome to the homepage for the Subatomic Physics groups at IFA, University of Aarhus. We cover particle physics, how quarks and other fundamental objects combine into protons and neutrons and other particles, nuclear physics, how protons and neutrons combine into atomic nuclei, and the many applications in astrophysics of these two fields.

Present Research Activities

  • Experimental Group - Nuclei far from stability investigated mainly at large accelerator facilities in Europe in collaboration with groups from other universities/research labs.
  • Theoretical Group - Theoretical investigations of atomic, molecular and subatomic few-body systems.
