From the research group of Richard Schmidt, PhD student Marcel Wagner is visiting the Department of Physics and Astronomy and CCQ from 7 February until 19 February 2022. Marcel studied physics at the University of Stuttgart and joined Richard's group at the Max Planck Institute of Quantum Optics (Garching) in 2018 as a PhD student. He is working on ultralong-range Rydberg molecules in cold quantum gases and exciton-electron scattering in bilayer structures of two-dimensional semiconductors.
