Title: Two-photon pulse scattering and bound states in WQED
Abstract: In this talk I will discuss the analytical treatment of the scattering problem for two-photon pulses, paying special attention to the formation of bound states of photons. Bound states are strongly correlated states in which photons tend to be registered together rather than far apart. This can be thought of as an effective attraction between the photons induced by the atomic non-linearity. I will start with basics about the formation of a bound state on a simple example and later demonstrate how one can generate a more interesting bound state by exploiting the interaction between the atoms.
