Title: Phase transition in many-body detection probability and antibunched light from noises

Abstract:
In this talk, I will like to share some on-going works in two interesting directions I have been investigating at CCQ. In the first direction, we introduce and formulate the concept of many-body detection probability. We then show that there can be a phase transition in the many-body detection probability as one of the parameters of the Hamiltonian is changed. This is a non-equilibrium phase transition that has some parallels with quantum phase transitions. In the second direction, we look at a non-linear oscillator in simultaneous presence of 1/f classical noise and quantum noise from low-temperature phonon bath. Such a situation can arise in solid state systems. We find that such a situation, in certain parameter regimes, can lead to generation of antibunched light, without any other drive, thereby generating antibunched light out of noises
