Paul Butler is visiting SAC and will be giving a SAC seminar on Thursday 21 March 2019

Title: Precision Velocities, Extrasolar Planets, and Stellar Seismology.

Abstract: We have been developing precision velocity systems for the past 30 years. We have improved precision from 300 m/s to 1 m/s. This has resulted in the discovery of most of the nearby planetary systems, and the initial stellar seismology detections.
