Dear fellow Astrobiologists,

A warm welcome to you all to come to EANA17.

The conference will take place 14-17 August, 2017 in Aarhus, Denmark. Among the many interesting and relevant topics for astrobiology, EANA17 emphasizes “Exoplanets”, a new and exciting field in the search for extraterrestrial life.

On the 12 and 13 August AbGradeE will host a social event and a one-day workshop for young researchers in AbGradE. The venue for this is the beautiful old Ole Rømer-Observatory.

For the young conference participants, please note also the 'Space Factor' Student Contest.

With its 330,000 inhabitants, Aarhus is the second largest city in Denmark, situated on a wonderful coastline. In 2017 Aarhus is not only hosting EANA 17 but is the Danish host of the European Capital of Culture. The theme that Aarhus has picked for this event is RETHINK, which couldn’t be more appropriate for an Astrobiology conference. As Aarhus will be very busy during the summer, in particular due to the festival, the hotels will be occupied and therefore we will encourage booking your rooms soon as possible.

We are looking forward to seeing you all in Aarhus in August for an inspiring conference!
