Astrofysik (Astrophysics)

Introduction to astrophysics, covering largely stellar structure and evolution and cosmology, based on Karttunen et al.: Fundamental Astronomy, Fourth edition, and Barbara Ryden: Introduction to Cosmology. Taught in the last 7 weeks of each Autumn semester (in second quarter).

Stellar pulsation

Introduction to the theory of stellar pulsation, including helio- and asteroseismology, based on Lecture Notes on Stellar Pulsation (IFA Print). Taught in the Spring semester of even years.

Advanced stellar evolution

A more extensive course in stellar evolution, building on the introductory courses, and based on Kippenhahn & Weigert: Stellar Structure and Evolution (Springer). Taught in the Spring semester of odd years.
