The Carrington storm in 1859 is considered one of the earliest and largest magnetic storms during magnetic observations covering 180 years. While some studies try to infer its frequency, the coverage of magnetic observations is not necessarily long enough. This presentation will provide ssibility of historical documents to excavate and scale magnetic storms before Carrington event. Historical documents at least tell us another Carrington-class storm occurred only 90 years before Carrington event.
