Aarhus Universitets segl

14-18 June 2010 in Aarhus, Denmark

Thank you for a fantastic workshop !

14-18 JUNE 2010 IN AARHUS, DENMARK

Programme - 1 June 2010

The objectives of the Third Kepler Asteroseismology Workshop, 'Kepler Asteroseismology in Action' are to allow all the members of the Kepler Asteroseismic Science Consortium (KASC) to meet for the first time in a Kepler meeting since the release of the first asteroseismic data. The main aim of the meeting is to present the results of the analyses of the Kepler asteroseismic data that have been processed, analyzed and modelled by the KASC Working Groups throughout last part of 2009 and first part of 2010. The meeting will allow members of KASC to discuss all the exciting results as well as to plan for the future Kepler observations, target selection, data analysis and publications.

The programme will contain a series of overview talks aimed at showing the huge amount of new results on stellar pulsations, stellar structure and stellar evolution. Those reviews will be given by key members of the KASC Working Groups. A number of contributed talks and a series of poster sessions will also be part of the programme. On the last day of the meeting we plan a series of splinter meetings on specific Working Group activities, and Friday will also allow individual subgroups to meet, plan and discuss the future KASC activities.

We look forward to seeing you in Aarhus in June 2010.
