</p>
<p><br>Fotosyntesen er den vigtigste biokemiske proces på Jorden, idet den producerer energi og byggesten til næsten alle økosystemer. Solens energi absorberes af pigmentet klorofyl, som effektivt omdanner lysenergi til kemisk energi. Vi ser nærmere på teorier, som giver kvantemekaniske effekter æren for den effektive udnyttelse af solens energi. Vi har i laboratoriet SEP1 ved gasfase spektroskopi set, at klorofyls absorption påvirkes af støj fra et nærliggende pigment, og det stemmer fint med ny teoretisk forskning, som viser, at den kvantemekaniske transport af energi forbedres af sådanne støjbidrag.</p>
