Title: Models of life

Abstract:
I will discus a few aspects of basis life mechanisms with the aim to illustrate how it  can be modeled and understood with terms known from physics. The talk thus emphasize the historical aspect of life, its ability to make copies, self assembly and basic polymeric building blocks, as well as its amazing ability to gain from cyclic reactions. A few simple models will be discussed with the aim to introduce its intermittent dynamics of life on large scale and the ability of life to maintain its diversity in even quite simple environments.
