New postdoc: Muhammad Hanif

We welcome Muhammad Hanif who joined the group of Marcel Mudrich on 1 September 2017 as a postdoctoral researcher.

We welcome Muhammad Hanif who joined the group of Marcel Mudrich on 1 September 2017 as a postdoctoral researcher. Hanif will focus his research on the interaction of neutral clusters and nanodroplets with EUV radiation. The goal is to explore correlated decay processes in excited or ionized heterogeneous nanosystems. This research will be performed mainly at the AMO beamline of ASTRID2 using a new apparatus that incorporates an electron-ion coincidence imaging spectrometer. Hanif was previously a postdoc at iNANO, Aarhus University, under the supervision of Mingdong Dong, working mainly on synchrotron infrared spectroscopy of biomolecules and the polymer scaffold of 2-dimensional materials. In March 2015, Hanif earned his PhD at Aalborg University, where he designed and constructed a cluster beam apparatus and investigated the formation of nanostructured materials composed of size-selected metal clusters in the group of Vladimir Popok.
