New Associate Professor: Jill Miwa

Jill Miwa has joined the Department as Associate Professor from 1 September 2015

[Translate to English:] Jill Miwa received her PhD in Canada and then travelled to Australia to work as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology at the University of New South Wales. There, Jill worked on the design, fabrication and characterization of a single atom transistor. She then came to Aarhus, working as a Postdoctoral Researcher for both Prof. Liv Hornekær and Prof. Philip Hofmann, to investigate novel two-dimensional materials by microscopy and spectroscopy techniques.  Jill now joins us as Associate Professor in the department. Her aim is to develop and expand research activities at the synchrotron radiation source, ASTRID2, where she will characterize quantum materials for quantum computer technologies.
