In classical electronics, the Wheatstone bridge is a device where the balancing of currents through a two-way junction can be used for precise measurement of an unknown resistance. Surprisingly, one can construct a quantum Wheatstone bridge to measure couplings between two quantum systems with the aid of the quantum mechanical effects of interference and entanglement.
