Instrument status

Instrument (HVE 1MV accelerator) is operational.

 

18-01-2017. Our IRMS (stable isotope mass spectrometer for δ13C and δ15N) have a faulty electronic box. We are awaiting information from the manufactors about the delivery time.

07-03-2017. The IRMS system has been checked and is now reassempled. We will use the next days to check the system and hopefully we will have it up running within a few days.

23-05-2017. The EA-IRMS system is operational and up to speed. The Dual-inlet is not working to our satisfaction. We are awaiting further leak tests and support.

This will delay our reporting of mortar samples where stable isotope information is essential to interpret the radiocarbon age. We do apologize for any inconvenience.

 

Turn around time

Current turn around time is 6 - 7 months.

We are working hard to improve our delivery time to 3 - 4 months. From our best estimate this can be reached from August 2017.

 

Express sample capacity

Due to a large sample backlog we have limited capacity for express samples.
