CODER - AU Ideas Center for Community Driven Research

The AU Ideas funded center for community driven research started January 1st 2012 as an interdisciplinary collaborative effort between the department of physics and computer science in Aarhus and the department for learning in Aalborg. The emphasis is to merge theoretical and experimental quantum research with online community efforts to explore the potential for online citizen science in this otherwise highly specialized field.

The center encompasses four main activities:

  • Experiments involving active manipulation of quantum systems
  • Theoretical explorations within quantum control and quantum information science
  • The development of on online environment for quantum citizen science
  • Gamified science education
