We exchange knowledge and perform consultancy services to a number of companies and public institutions. This takes place in areas such as surface treatment and coating (Danish Technological Institute, CemeCon Scandinavia A/S, Grundfos A/S), development of solar cells (Racell Solar A/S, Elkem Solar (Norway)), optical sensors (Danfoss A/S), surface structuring by lasers (Grundfos A/S), development of optical fibres (OFS Fitel Denmark ApS), as well as development of scanning tunneling microscopes (SPECS GmbH (Germany)).
The 14C AMS Dating Centre, which uses the carbon-14 method to perform datings of samples, is active with consulting services and knowledge exchange with many museums (including the Danish National Museum and Moesgård Prehistoric Museum), as well as Aalborg Portland A/S and the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland – GEUS.
A number of staff members are furthermore involved in consultancy activities and knowledge exchange through iNano, the Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center.
