Would you like to become part of an international team of student programmers, academics and games industry professionals collaborating to build a universe of citizen science games? Would you like to help build games and educational entertainment that aims at bringing science to the living room, and citizens to the science lab? Are you passionate about games, science and technology? Then maybe you are the right person to join our team at the University of Aarhus.
We are building a cross-platform graphical quantum physics simulation tool for which we require frontend development expertise. This tool will be the centerpiece of our efforts towards establishing game-based research-enabling education around the world. As a developer you will collaborate directly with scientists working on cutting edge research into controlling single atoms. As a member of our diverse team of programmers, scientists, and graphical designers you will be involved in every phase of the development process.
You would become part of the team designing, implementing, and maintaining this tool in C++. Your main focus would be frontend development using the Qt-framework, based on our quantum physics simulation engine. Knowledge of physics is not required.
Both recent graduates and experienced professional are encouraged to apply.
The ideal candidate
 • Possesses a solid understanding of C++ object-oriented programming and software architecture.
• Is familiar with the Qt-framework.
• Has experience with real-time software design
• Has knowledge of designing user interfaces.
• Is fluent in written and spoken english.
• Has excellent communication skills.
• Can help interface our C++-simulations into other languages
We offer a full-time position at the University of Aarhus of 6-12 months initial duration, with a possibility of extension after that.

Salary and terms as agreed between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Confederation of Professional Unions.
