New postdoc: Kevin Guilloy

Kevin Guilloy joined the group of Jill Miwa and Philip Hofmann as postdoctoral researcher on 1 September 2016

Kevin Guilloy joined the group of Jill Miwa and Philip Hofmann as postdoctoral researcher on 1 September 2016. He will perform angle-resolved photo-emission spectroscopy on micro-fabricated devices made from single-layer transition metal dichalcogenides. This work will be done at the SGM3 beamline of the ASTRID2 synchrotron.

This will enable new degrees of freedom in the tailoring of the electronic properties of these 2D materials, which are promising for future electronic and optical applications.

He obtained his PhD from the University of Grenoble-Alpes (France) in July 2016. His PhD work was on the optical spectroscopy of highly strained germanium and was performed in CEA Grenoble under the supervision of Nicolas Pauc and Vincent Calvo.
